Please Note
Stourhead is a bit challenging due to its uneven terrain. Theres a steep hill from the Information Centre, shops, and café down to the start of the circular route, followed by a steep zig-zag gravel path near the house leading to the lake area. The path around the lake is lit, but not very brightly.
For those with mobility issues, Stourhead could be difficult due to the terrain. However, the National Trust might offer a buggy service to help navigate the hills, which could be useful. According to their website:
Paths: The Christmas at Stourhead trail route follows the garden paths, some of which can be steep in places. These paths are checked and cared for daily. Path markers can be non-traditional, such as strings of lights or short barriers.
