Exeter is one of the most historically interesting cities in England with a rich history pre dating the Romans. Full of fascinating visitor attractions, Exeter is known for it's independent art scene, sense of individuality and beautiful countryside. Exeter is a small city with loads to do! The coach will drop you off next to the Cathedral, famous for its gothic architecture, astronomical clock, and beautiful stain glass windows. Once inside, local volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the hidden histories of this magnificent building. Just a short walk from the cathedral is the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, containing 16 individual galleries exhibiting Exeter’s rich history and artwork from across the world. We also recommend the vibrant city centre, there are plenty of small cafés and restaurants to grab a spot of lunch. In addition, the city centre is home to a plethora of shops and shopping arcades. Exeter is also home to a beautiful, historic quayside- this must-see destination is a hub of activity, shopping, and refreshment.
