Nestled in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, just 1½ miles north of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, Hughenden Manor was the much-loved country home of Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Today, this magnificent National Trust property offers a fascinating journey through British history, from elegant Victorian interiors and the lives of the Disraelis to its surprising secret role as a top-secret map-making centre during the Second World War.
Outside, explore beautifully restored formal gardens, colourful borders and peaceful woodland walks set within over 600 acres of parkland, all with spectacular views across the rolling Chiltern countryside. After your visit, relax in the café or browse the gift shop and second-hand bookshop before heading home.
Accessibility
Most visitor facilities are accessible, with ramped access to the ground floor of the manor. The gardens have surfaced paths, although some routes are steep due to the hillside setting. Please note that there is no wheelchair access to the first floor.
For accessibility needs, please call 01202 767022 when booking so we can ensure the coach and destination are arranged appropriately.
