Scenario

Steps to Follow

In the Event of an Accident

1. Initial Steps

STOP. Activate all emergency hazard lights immediately.

2. Assess Injuries

Check if anyone is injured. If yes, contact Emergency Services by dialing 999.

3. Notify Office

Call 01202 767022, 07788925666, or 07737229739 to inform about the situation and request a replacement vehicle for passenger transfer.

4. Provide Details

Share the location and as much relevant information as possible with the office.

5. Passenger Safety

If safe, move passengers to a secure location. If not possible, move them to the front of the vehicle.

6. Traffic Management

Wear the high-visibility vest and, if safe, direct traffic flow.

7. Warning Triangles

Place warning triangles at least 45 meters behind the vehicle if it is safe to do so.

8. Emergency Services

Identify yourself to Emergency Services upon their arrival and follow their instructions.

9. Documentation

Record relevant details, including photographs if possible.

For Minor Incidents

Exchange Details

Provide third parties with the company name and address: Laguna Travel Ltd, Suffolk Road South, Bournemouth, BH2 6AZ.

Insurance details will be supplied upon request.

In the Event of an Operational Breakdown

1. Initial Steps

Activate all emergency hazard warning lights.

2. Contact Office

Call 01202 767022. For out-of-hours support, contact 07788925666 (Richard) or 07737229739 (Stuart).

3. Police Notification

If the vehicle is in a dangerous position, inform the police by calling 999.

4. Passenger Updates

Inform passengers about the situation.

5. Passenger Safety

If safe, move passengers to a secure location. Otherwise, move them to the front of the vehicle.

6. Traffic Management

Wear the high-visibility vest and direct traffic flow if safe and necessary.

7. Warning Triangles

Place warning triangles 45 meters behind the vehicle to warn approaching traffic if it is safe to do so.

8. Follow Instructions

Follow guidance from the office or emergency services.

9. Calm Assistance

Remain calm and professional, prioritizing passengers with special needs or disabilities.

10. Documentation

Record relevant details, including driving times and photographs if applicable.

In the Event of an Unwell Driver

Replacement Driver

Dispatch a replacement driver promptly. Office staff with PCV licenses are available for short-notice coverage.

Additional Information

Computer System Crash

A full duplicate paper system ensures drivers remain informed of duty details during a computer malfunction.

Vehicle Tracking

Vehicles are monitored 24/7 using a GPS-based system to provide real-time location updates and ensure safe and efficient driving.

CCTV

All vehicles are equipped with 8 CCTV cameras monitoring the interior and exterior, recording footage individually to ensure safety and security.
