The transportation of passengers is covered by multiple legislation and legal compliances. We can demonstrate when requested that Laguna Travel comply in all areas in order to maintain a safe and legal work place.

Here are some key points that individuals within Laguna Travel are responsible for maintaining compliance.

The Transport Manager will ensure that all individuals associated with the company will abide by relevant laws concerning vehicle safety, working time directives, eligibility and fitness of persons to drive. They will ensure that routine maintenance is carried out in line with legal schedules relevant to PSV. They will ensure all insurance is current and appropriate as well as maintain sufficient financial security. They will have in place checks and measures to ensure compliance. They will be of good standing and character.

The drivers are legally responsible for the vehicle they are in charge of. All drivers complete a first use daily check and document this on our vehicle maintenance system. Drivers must ensure they are fit to drive and comply with traffic laws. Drivers must observe working time directives and driving rules specific to PSV. All vehicle defects are reported to a supervisor and relevant corrective measures taken.

All vehicles are maintained in line with current guidelines, this practice is recorded and monitored by the Transport Manager and the DVSA. We are monitored using a traffic light grading system which is a quick look system to view which companies are failing compliance. We are subject to roadside checks and enhanced ministry checks similar to an MOT every 6 weeks.
