Enjoy a relaxing day out combining free time in Basingstoke with a delightful afternoon cruise along the beautiful Basingstoke Canal. Our day begins with time at leisure in Basingstoke, where you can browse the shops, enjoy lunch in one of the many cafés and restaurants, or simply explore the town at your own pace.
In the afternoon, we make our way to Odiham to board the John Pinkerton II, a charming narrowboat operated by the Basingstoke Canal Society. Sit back and unwind as you cruise through the peaceful Hampshire countryside, passing tranquil woodland, open countryside and an abundance of wildlife along one of England's most picturesque canals.
During the cruise, you'll be served a traditional cream tea, including freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, accompanied by tea or coffee. This leisurely canal cruise offers the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery before rejoining the coach for our journey home. Please also advise us of any dietary requirements when booking so these can be catered for during your cream tea.
