Later, we make our way to the peaceful Belmont Abbey, a beautiful Benedictine monastery set in tranquil surroundings on the outskirts of the city. Admire its impressive Gothic architecture, explore the attractive gardens and grounds, and soak up the calm atmosphere of this remarkable place of worship. Hereford city centre is generally level and pedestrian-friendly, although some streets are cobbled or uneven in places. Hereford Cathedral has step-free access to most public areas, with accessible toilets available. At Belmont Abbey, paths are mainly level, but some areas of the grounds may be uneven.
