Accessibility

The Blue Pool –All buildings, the Tearooms & terrace are accessible to wheelchair users, along with the circular Azalea walk which is the main walking route around The Blue Pool that includes the Fairy and Goblin Trail. Some areas are accessed only via steep steps such as the lower waterside paths. Swanage – A mostly flat town centre and promenade, ideal for exploring shops, cafés and the seafront.

Blue Pool is a stunning natural attraction famous for its ever-changing shades of turquoise and blue, caused by mineral deposits in its water. Once a Victorian clay pit, it has been transformed into a serene lake surrounded by woodland and heathland, making it perfect for peaceful walks and photography. Visitors can follow circular trails through the trees, spot wildlife, and enjoy the vibrant colors that shift with the seasons and sunlight. The site also has a small café and gift shop, creating a charming stop for families and nature lovers alike.

 

Swanage is a picturesque seaside town on the Isle of Purbeck, known for its sandy beaches, colorful Victorian promenade, and charming coastal atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the pier, try traditional fish and chips by the sea, or explore nearby attractions like Durlston Country Park and the Swanage Railway, a heritage steam line that winds through the stunning Purbeck countryside.
