This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy music performed by the Cathedral Choir and sing favourite carols in the beautiful setting of the cathedral, dominated by a stunning Christmas tree from Longleat sustainable forest, decorated at the West End. Seasonal refreshments, mulled wine/ spiced apple, and a mince pie, will be served in the Cathedral after the concert to the accompaniment of additional festive tunes. The building will remain exclusively available to our guests who can linger and enjoy the music alongside exploring the cathedral and visiting the Magna Carta, with guides available to answer questions, until the evening service starts. Once visitors have looked around, they are welcome to visit the Gift Shop for some last-minute Christmas shopping.

Earlier in the day, guests can use their event ticket for cathedral entry. Lunch can be enjoyed in the onsite Refectory café where there is a wide selection of hot and cold refreshments, usually also including a Christmas lunch.

Salisbury, in Wiltshire, England, is a historic and welcoming city known for its medieval streets, traditional markets, and charming blend of shops, cafés, and green spaces. The city centre features timber-framed buildings, independent boutiques, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy for visitors to explore on foot.

One of Salisbury’s highlights is its spacious Cathedral Close area — a peaceful historic quarter surrounded by elegant period houses, museums, and lawns. Even without mentioning the cathedral itself, the Close remains a beautiful part of the city that reflects centuries of English heritage.

Just to the north you’ll find Old Sarum, the site of the original settlement of Salisbury. This ancient hillfort offers panoramic views and gives visitors a sense of the city's deep historic roots.

With riverside walks, welcoming pubs, and a bustling market square, Salisbury offers a classic English city experience that appeals to both day-trippers and longer-stay visitors.
