Along the route, you'll find a selection of food and drink stalls offering festive favourites, warming hot chocolate, mulled wine and seasonal treats (available to purchase), as well as gift stalls for those looking for a special Christmas present.

Take your time to soak up the magical atmosphere, capture stunning photographs and enjoy a truly memorable festive evening before rejoining the coach for our journey home.

 

Before your visit, we’d like to share some key information to help make your experience as magical as possible:

 

* The illuminated trail is 3km long and may take up to 2.5–3 hours to complete.

* Footwear: Please wear sensible, comfortable shoes.

* Clothing: Bring layers and waterproofs – it may not be a white Christmas, but it will be chilly!

* Catering: Indoor restaurant seating is very limited and cannot be pre-booked. Most other catering outlets are outside.

* Lighting: It’s an illuminated trail, but it will be a dark winter evening – feel free to bring a torch to help guide your way.

* Safety & Security: Bag searches will take place, so please bring only essentials. No naked flames (sparklers, lanterns, flares) are allowed to protect Kew’s plants and visitors.

 

Accessibility

The trail has varied terrain and some inclines. Guests using self-propelled wheelchairs should bring an essential companion. Please bring your own wheelchairs or mobility scooters, as these are unlikely to be available onsite. There is little to no seating along the route, so consider a rollator or pop-up seat if you think you may need a breather.
