On arrival, enjoy some free time in Highgate and nearby Waterlow Park, with the opportunity to find a café for an early lunch or snack and perhaps take a stroll through this attractive corner of North London.
At 12.45pm, we join our guide for a fascinating 90-minute tour of Highgate Cemetery. Discover its extraordinary history and explore a landscape of winding paths, impressive monuments, elaborate tombs and magnificent Victorian architecture, while hearing some of the stories of the people who have been laid to rest here.
Following our guided tour, there will be free time to explore the East side of the cemetery independently, where you can seek out more notable graves and enjoy the peaceful, almost other-worldly surroundings at your own pace.

Please be aware that Highgate Cemetery is a historic site with steep slopes, steps, uneven and sometimes muddy or slippery paths. The guided tour involves approximately 90 minutes of walking and standing and may not be suitable for those with significantly reduced mobility. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is strongly recommended. Anyone with mobility concerns should contact us before booking so that we can discuss whether the visit will be suitable.
