Leonardslee is a treasure trove of art and nature. These sculptures transform our woodlands, offering new views of our valley and seven lakes

Nestled in the heart of West Sussex, Leonardslee Gardens is a historic and breathtakingly beautiful estate that dates back to the early 19th century. Originally developed by Sir Edmund Loder in the 1800s, the gardens became renowned for their spectacular displays of rhododendrons, azaleas, and camellias, many of which were imported from around the world. After being closed to the public for nearly a decade, the gardens were lovingly restored and reopened in 2019, showcasing not only their rich horticultural heritage but also a commitment to preserving one of England’s finest woodland gardens.

Today, Leonardslee offers a truly enchanting experience for day-trippers. Visitors can explore over 200 acres of landscaped gardens, tranquil lakes, and exotic plants, all set within a picturesque valley. Alongside the natural beauty, guests can enjoy the resident wallabies, visit the elegant Grade II listed mansion, and admire the detailed dollhouse exhibition. Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful and scenic escape, Leonardslee Gardens provides a delightful and memorable day out.
