After the tour, you have the option to visit the Old Bailey public galleries from 2pm onwards when the court reopens after lunch. Youll have the chance to observe a live case, and you can stay as long as you wish until the court closes around 4pm.
Important Security Information: Please be aware of the following restrictions if you plan to enter the public galleries:
Prohibited items
: Mobile phones, earphones, smartwatches (including Fitbits), food, drinks, car key electric fobs, and large bags (e.g. rucksacks) are not permitted inside the Old Bailey. Handbags are acceptable.
Storage options

The cost is £2 for mobile phones and £5 for bags (multiple phones can be placed in one bag to save on costs). Alternatively, there is a nearby pub that will store your phones for free if you purchase a drink.
Please note, while entry to the public galleries is usually granted, it is subject to security controls, and we cannot guarantee entry. However, rest assured, you will be well-prepared for your day in court!
Important Reminder: If you are bringing teenagers, please ensure they have valid ID proving they are over 14 years old, as security at the Old Bailey may deny entry without it.
