The Sidmouth Regatta is a cherished annual event held over the August Bank Holiday weekend, celebrating the town's maritime heritage and community spirit. The weekend kicks off with the thrilling Sidmouth Air Show, featuring aerial displays by the Red Arrows and other aircraft over the picturesque Lyme Bay. The Sidmouth Regatta offers a blend of traditional maritime competitions and family-friendly entertainment, set against the stunning backdrop of the Jurassic Coast. It's a perfect weekend getaway for those looking to experience coastal charm and vibrant community festivities.

On Friday August 22, Sidmouth Regatta kicks off with a spectacular air display featuring the Red Arrows, soaring over the Jurassic Coast in a breathtaking show of aerial precision. Earlier in the day, families can enjoy a free Teddy Bears Picnic from 2–4pm at Knowle Gardens, complete with a nature treasure hunt and crafting activities.

Additionally, the seafront will host the 'Red Arrows on Bikes' displays along with a Red Arrows merchandise pod and a food village at the Ham, offering local food stalls.
