Enjoy a delightful winter’s day beginning with a couple of hours at leisure in the charming Cotswold market town of Cirencester, with time to browse the independent shops, explore the historic centre or perhaps enjoy a morning coffee. We then continue to beautiful Colesbourne Park, where thousands of snowdrops create a spectacular carpet of white across the grounds. Our special visit begins with a short presentation introducing the fascinating history of Colesbourne Park and the Elwes family, together with the story behind its remarkable collection of snowdrops.
This is followed by a guided tour with owner Sir Henry Elwes and Head Gardener Katie Reynolds, taking in the wonderful seasonal displays and discovering some of the stories behind this historic estate. The experience lasts approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.
Coffee and delicious homemade cake are also included, rounding off a lovely winter day out in the Cotswolds
