Sample Programme Christmas comes early at the Laguna, and we can’t wait to welcome you. The family and staff are absolutely delighted to host you for a sparkling festive escape. From the moment you arrive, we’ll do everything we can to ensure your stay is merry, bright and wonderfully comfortable — if you need anything at all, just ask! Ease into your holiday with a delightful afternoon tea in the Fountain Bar — the perfect way to settle in and soak up the festive atmosphere. Later, the bar opens for drinks, laughter and the chance to meet friends old and new. A delicious dinner follows, freshly prepared and full of festive flavour. After dinner, it’s time for a little friendly competition with bingo — always a guest favourite! The evening continues with lively entertainment to get everyone in the Christmas spirit, and of course, tasty supper snacks to keep those little hunger pangs at bay. Tuesday

New Forest Festive Adventure ! After enjoying a hearty traditional English breakfast, we set off on a wonderful festive excursion filled with scenic views and seasonal cheer. Our journey begins with a tour through historic Bournemouth, taking in the iconic pier, the Pavilion Theatre, the Bournemouth International Centre and the fascinating Russell-Cotes Museum. Travelling along the cliff tops, you’ll be treated to breathtaking coastal views stretching as far as the Isle of Wight and Hengistbury Head — a perfect photo opportunity! We then continue through Christchurch — once known as Twynham — where you’ll spot the impressive Priory and hints of Saxon history, before heading into the enchanting New Forest. This unique and beautiful national park is famous for its wide open landscapes and free-roaming animals. Keep your cameras ready for ponies, cattle, deer and even Highland cows wandering peacefully through the forest. We’ll pause in either the charming village of Burley or the delightful town of Lyndhurst, often called the capital of the New Forest. Here you can enjoy cosy cafés, browse quirky independent shops, and perhaps indulge in a little festive treat or two. On our return, there’s time for a spot of shopping back in Bournemouth for those who fancy it. Back at the hotel, the festive fun continues with pre-dinner drinks in the Fountain Bar, followed by another delicious evening meal. After dinner, it’s eyes down for bingo, before the highlight of the evening — Crazy Hat Night! The bolder and brighter the better, with a prize for the most outrageous creation. The night rounds off with carols, festive laughter and entertainment from our fantastic guest performer — plus tasty supper snacks to keep the celebrations going

Wednesday

Christmas Day (Laguna Style! Wake up to the magic of Christmas at the Laguna Hotel, where the festive spirit is in full swing from the very start of the day. Enjoy a delicious traditional English breakfast to ease you into the celebrations, then perhaps take a cheerful shuttle ride into Bournemouth for a festive wander. Breathe in the fresh sea air, admire the seasonal decorations and enjoy the lively coastal atmosphere before returning to the hotel for the main event. Our spectacular traditional Christmas Lunch is a true highlight — complete with all the trimmings and plenty of festive flavour. The celebration continues with our much-loved Parade of the Christmas Pudding, a delightful Laguna tradition that always brings smiles and applause. And listen out for sleigh bells… because Father Christmas himself, along with his trusty Elf, will be stopping by with a special gift for everyone! Later in the afternoon, relax in the Fountain Bar with a slice of Christmas cake and a warming cup of tea or coffee — the perfect way to unwind and share stories of the day. In the evening, enjoy our Chef’s High Tea before settling in for Christmas Bingo — a little friendly competition adds to the fun! The day concludes with sparkling evening entertainment and refreshments, giving you the chance to sit back, relax and soak up every last bit of Christmas cheer. It’s Christmas — the Laguna way — full of laughter, warmth and wonderful memories.

Thursday

Dorset Delights & Fancy Dress Fun After another hearty traditional English breakfast, we set off to discover the charm and character of Dorset’s picturesque villages and stunning coastline. Enjoy a leisurely drive through rolling countryside and quaint market towns, with opportunities to explore fascinating local museums — from military history and ancient artefacts to dinosaurs, Tutankhamun exhibitions and Thomas Hardy’s Dorset heritage. There’s plenty to spark your curiosity and bring the region’s rich history to life. We then continue to the beautiful seaside town of Weymouth, famously visited by King George III and still brimming with Georgian elegance. Stroll around the historic harbour, watch fishing boats unload their daily catch, or treat yourself to classic fish and chips by the sea. With golden sands stretching along the promenade, charming independent shops, lively arcades and cosy cafés, Weymouth offers something for everyone to enjoy. Back at the hotel, the evening festivities begin with pre-dinner drinks — the perfect chance to chat about the day’s adventures. A delicious dinner follows, freshly prepared and full of flavour. Then it’s time for Boxing Day Bingo — always good for a laugh and a little friendly competition! And the fun doesn’t stop there… it’s Fancy Dress Night! Whether you choose to dazzle, sparkle or simply amuse, join in the fun for a fabulous evening of entertainment with our guest performer. With music, laughter and hot snacks served throughout the night, it’s the perfect way to round off another joyful day of your festive break

Farewell (For Now!) Enjoy one final hearty breakfast at the Laguna Hotel, the perfect way to round off your festive seaside escape. After a wonderful few days filled with laughter, friendship, delicious food and plenty of Christmas cheer, it’s time to say goodbye — for now — as coaches depart for home. We hope you leave with a suitcase full of happy memories and perhaps a few new friendships too. From all the family and team here at the Laguna, thank you for spending your Tinsel and Turkey break with us.
