Waddesdon Manor is a magnificent French Renaissancestyle château set in beautifully landscaped grounds in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Built by the Rothschild family, the manor is renowned for its elegant interiors, world-class collections, and breathtaking views.
The tour includes time to explore the house and gardens, with plenty of indoor spaces to enjoy in inclement weather.
The visit also features the moving outdoor art installation Standing With Giants.
Standing With Giants was created by a UK charity that honours those who gave their lives in service and conflict. The display features life-sized steel silhouettes representing servicemen and women, originally assembled to commemorate the 1,475 British and Allied personnel who fell on D-Day in 1944.
The figures are designed to create a space for reflection and remembrance, allowing visitors to walk among the silhouettes, think about the sacrifices made for freedom, and appreciate the scale of loss through powerful, visual impact.
The installation has toured notable sites across the UK and internationally and is now displayed in the grounds of Waddesdon Manor as part of our visit offering a meaningful and poignant moment during your day out.
